Olimpia Copăcenaru is a PhD student at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Geography and works both as a Research Assistant for CICADIT (The Interdisciplinary Center for Advanced Researches on Territorial Dynamics) and as a GIS and Remote Sensing Analyst for Terrasigna SRL. She received her Bachelor diploma in Geography in 2015 and her Master diploma in GIS and Remote Sensing in 2017, both from the University of Bucharest. Her main research topics are coastal geomorphology and the applications of GIS, remote sensing and historical cartography techniques in assessing coastal dynamics processes.
